Full job description

As an Associate Product Manager, you’ll play a key role in bringing new, trend-forward product ideas to life for Art 101® and Sulyn™, two leading arts & crafts brands. Working closely with the Product Development Director and Creative Director, you’ll be responsible for hands-on product mockups and sample creation, from material assortments to packaging prototypes, helping translate ideas into products that reflect brand vision, market trends, and product direction.

This is a creative, detail-oriented role where you’ll own the execution of all samples and mockups under leadership direction, turning concepts into polished, tangible pieces that inspire customers and drive product development forward.

Responsibilities

  • Own the creation of product mockups and samples (assortments, material combinations, packaging prototypes) under direction from the Product Development Director and Creative Director.
  • Research and experiment with materials, textures, colors, and finishes to produce presentation-ready prototypes.
  • Translate leadership direction into prototypes that support brainstorming, product assortments, and packaging innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Design) to ensure samples align with brand standards and customer needs.
  • Support factory quote requests by gathering specifications, communicating details, and tracking responses.
  • Review and refine samples, track revisions, and provide feedback to sourcing and factory partners.
  • Maintain an organized, clearly labeled sample library for internal use and presentations.
  • Assist with product photography, presentation decks, and preparation for customer or trade meetings.
  • Help manage development timelines, line plans, and supporting documentation.

Skills & Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in product development, design, or a related field (internships considered with strong portfolio).
  • Strong creative eye and hands-on ability to build product samples and mockups.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Mac environment preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • This is a full-time in-office role (5 days/week). Hybrid flexibility may be considered in the future depending on performance and time in role.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in arts & crafts, toy, or hobby product development.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Programs (Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
