About Us:
The KKAC Organization is a 501(c)(3), community-oriented non-profit organization working towards land retention, preservation, and wealth building in rural communities. KKAC provides education and technical assistance to youth, farmers, and landowners on agriculture business, estate planning, heirs’ property issues, and land management through national and statewide conservation programs. In addition, our goal is to educate landowners on the importance of, and opportunities for proper estate planning, training, and resources available through USDA-NRCS programs.
Job Description:
The Project Manager will ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget. This position requires someone community-driven, with initiative, a positive attitude, and the readiness to be a team player. You will work with The KKAC Organization and partnersto achieve conservation and wealth building goals for farmers, landowners, and youth. KKAC employees contribute work to all projects and daily work tasks. Employee responsibilities are subject to change as projects emerge, and the workload changes. The Employee agrees to carry out all duties as assigned by the Employer.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate and lead planning sessions for project development and execution
- Manage staffing and other resource needs to maximize potential for successful execution of projects
- Ensure appropriate use of programmatic funds within the contract/grants' parameters
- Define project objectives and scope, identifying involvement of internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct risk analysis to reduce unforeseen obstacles and costs
- Create detailed schedule, project parameters, and budget expectations
- Conduct periodic scope, schedule, and cost reviews using industry best practices, to identify needed adjustments
- Measure project performance and progress throughout campaign execution
- Manage client and other stakeholder expectations to maintain productive and engaged relationships
- Document project activities, obstacles, costs, and results
- Delegate project activities and duties in accordance with team members' strengths and experience
- Provide summarized project plan documentation to departmental managers, clients, and other stakeholders as needed
- Engage in continual learning to remain abreast of industry best practices, modern technologies, and emerging standards
- Collaborate with and lead teams to deliver results on schedule and within budget limits
- Execute other role duties as assigned
Education, Experience & Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor's degree Agriculture, Agricultural Business, Business, Business Management or related field
- Three to Five (3 to 5) years of experience in project management
- Knowledge of software management and client management tools, such as Asana, SalesForce, etc.
- Experience with client management and internal departmental communications
- Proven record of accomplishment of successful project management
- Ability to multitask with work on several projects with minimal supervision
- Strong collaboration skills that involve working with internal teams and external vendors
- · Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- · Strong presentation skills
- · Proficient research skills
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times to various heights and places in the office
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods
- Flexible work hours to attend outreach meetings, technical assistance meetings, or company/project-based events as needed
- Reliable transportation
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
