Organization Overview
The Georgia Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce (GANCC) is a dedicated 501(c)6 membership organization established in January 2025. Our mission is to proactively promote, support, and embrace neurodiversity across Georgia. By empowering neurodivergent adults, professional advocates, service providers, and Georgia businesses, GANCC is actively building a centralized neuroinclusive community, fostering vital connections, sharing industry best practices, and driving significant economic and social impact.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Part-Time Project Manager to join our team in the Atlanta area. This critical role requires a self-starter with a professional commitment to the neurodiverse community. The successful candidate must possess superior written and verbal communication skills and be a confident multi-tasker capable of supporting and effectively representing GANCC’s mission. The position is primarily remote, offering professional flexibility while demanding effective project management and accountability. This role presents a significant opportunity for professional growth within an exciting and pioneering organization.
Core Responsibilities and Scope of Work
The Project Manager will manage the operational execution and external engagement strategy of GANCC, encompassing three primary areas of responsibility:
1. Organizational Operations and Administration
● Oversee and administer daily organizational operations, including comprehensive financial management, professional correspondence, and essential membership support functions.
2. Event Strategy and Management
● Lead the operational support for GANCC's recurring events, including monthly networking events tailored for neurodiverse adults and monthly educational events designed for the business and stakeholder community.
● Manage the execution of additional GANCC-sponsored events, specialized workshops, and professional training opportunities.
3. Stakeholder Engagement and Communications
● Implement and manage GANCC's communications strategy, overseeing social media presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
● Maintain and update organizational web pages and manage timely email replies to support all GANCC events and operational needs.
● Produce and disseminate the monthly organizational newsletter.
● Professionally represent GANCC at external exhibitions and key industry events.
Required Professional Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate the following:
● Substantial experience in project management, preferably within a non-profit, chamber of commerce, or similar membership-based environment.
● A clear professional understanding of neurodiversity and its implications for the business sector and community engagement.
● Advanced administrative capabilities, including a demonstrated track record of managing budgets, developing structured programs, and successfully engaging a diverse array of stakeholders.
● Exceptional written and verbal communication proficiency.
● The proven ability to operate with a high degree of independence, manage multiple competing projects simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines within a flexible work schedule.
● Proficiency with key technological platforms, including: Canva, the Google Workspace suite, online account management, online payment systems (e.g., Personify), and knowledge of online member management systems (e.g., Wild Apricot).
Desired Attributes
● A genuine passion for advancing neurodiversity and implementing inclusive professional practices.
● Prior experience collaborating with or advocating for neurodivergent individuals.
Compensation and Engagement Details
This is a 1099 contractual position requiring approximately 10 to 15 hours per week. Compensation is structured in the range of $1,500–$2,000 per month, based on relevant experience. The role features flexible hours and a primarily remote work arrangement. A potential for increased responsibility and commensurate compensation exists as GANCC’s membership expands.
