Full job description

Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA), a member-driven intergovernmental risk pool, is recruiting an Operations Coordinator to support its property/casualty insurance division. As the Property/Casualty Operations Coordinator, you report to the Property/Casualty Program Director and provide day-to-day administrative support to the division, as well as to special projects and initiatives. This role plays an important part in maintaining overall division efficiency by coordinating communications and information flows, maintaining accurate data and information, scheduling and supporting meetings, preparing and organizing documents and correspondence, responding to assistance requests from our members, and providing other administrative and staff support as needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide general administrative support to division employees, department heads and division director, such as drafting documents and correspondence, coordinating workflows, maintaining information in various databases, spreadsheets and web-based portals, and organizing and distributing updates, correspondence, documents, procedural manuals, files and reports.
  • Administer the division’s education and training program, including scheduling and logistics, maintaining instructional materials and forms, monitoring outcomes and reporting results.
  • Assist with the administration of various loss mitigation initiatives.
  • Coordinate division, department and other meetings including scheduling, preparing and distributing governance meeting materials, setting up and breaking-down meeting rooms, and taking meeting notes and minutes.
  • Assist with data quality control and maintaining asset and other coverage-related schedules and documentation, as needed.
  • Provide technical support to member agency representatives and division employees by triaging assistance requests, troubleshooting and coordinating resolution with service providers as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

Required

  • Associate degree in any discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant professional work experience.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited 4-year university.
  • 2+ years assisting insurance underwriting functions.
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to assemble, organize and analyze data and information.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective and professional communication with a wide variety of internal and external audiences.

Pay: $25.00 - $37.50 per hour
