Position Summary

The Regional Sales Manager is a dynamic and results-driven professional responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion across your region Reporting to the National Sales Director, this role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll develop and execute sales plans, build strong relationships with program leaders, and identify opportunities tied to federal and state funding streams.

The ideal candidate thrives on consultative selling, listens deeply to customer needs, and connects Kodo solutions to program goals. This position requires a proactive approach to outbound sales, including cold calling, prospecting, and follow-up, combined with a genuine passion for helping educators create inspiring learning environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with County Offices of Education, School Districts Directors and Coordinators, , Head Start agencies, and other partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with funding streams and program priorities.
  • Provide consultative support, aligning Kodo products with early childhood initiatives, grants and frameworks.
  • Manage your regional sales pipeline, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Represent Kodo at conferences, training sessions, and regional events.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Director and cross-functional teams to support company initiatives.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of sales cycles and early childhood funding initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiations and follow up skills
  • Ability to identify client needs and connect them to clear value propositions.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and sales tools.

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in account management, relationship development, or consultative sales.
  • Knowledge of the education industry, particularly early childhood programs, school districts, or Head Start.
  • Previous leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Experience creating and executing sales strategies across multiple tactics (phone, web meetings, direct mailing and in-person demonstrations).

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional regional travel for meetings and conferences.
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs (some products are heavy).
  • Willingness to build/assemble Kodo products during demonstrations or events.

Compensation: Salary, plus opportunity for bonus/commission opportunity
