Zervas Architects, an award-winning architectural firm in Bellingham, Washington, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Interior Designer to join our team. As a Senior Interior Designer, you'll be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and executing interior design solutions that harmonize with our architectural vision and meet our clients' needs.
The successful candidate will:
· Have an accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted
· NCIDQ certification is preferred and 6+ years of related experience
· LEED or WELL accreditation are preferred or willingness to be certified in tone of these areas.
· Detailing and execution of construction documents with minimal supervision
· Proficient modeling with and leading projects in Revit and/or AutoCAD
· Proficient 3D rendering abilities in Revit, 3dMax, and/or Enscape
· Proficient with the MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
· Experience with complex multi-phased public, education, healthcare, and/or corporate projects, is desired
Responsibilities:
· Be responsible for generating and developing design ideas with the design team
· Manage and mentor team members from concept design through construction administration
· Maintain relationships with clients and consultants
· Aid in collecting information for client assessment (attend interviews, provide documentation support)
· Review work for design integrity, accuracy, clarity and quality
· Assist in the development of interior concepts based on client vision, project scope, and architectural concept
· Coordinate with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps and fabricators to meet project objectives
· Maintain furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) databases, specifications and performance metrics
· Assist with review of RFIs and submittals during Construction Administration
· Participate in team meetings to discuss project and technical issues
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Have a passion for planning, materiality, detailing and furnishings
· Working knowledge of the application of color, range of design principles, materials and aesthetics
· Familiarity with space planning methodology
· Familiarity with furnishings and finishes
· Sketching and rendering skills
· Working knowledge of design phases and procedures
· Ability to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
