Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Trainee to join our team. This is a full-time, entry-level opportunity ideal for recent graduates in Computer Science who are looking to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world environment. The role offers hands-on experience in software development, testing, and application support under the mentorship of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications
  • Write basic code snippets, scripts, or configurations under supervision
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and code reviews
  • Help troubleshoot bugs and document issue resolutions
  • Support system integration, data entry, or simple automation tasks
  • Learn and apply Agile methodologies, version control (e.g., Git), and best practices
  • Complete technical assignments, training modules, or internal workshops
  • Work collaboratively with developers, QA analysts, and project managers

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field (graduated within the last 12 months or on OPT)
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript preferred)
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow into more complex responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documentation and instructions
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Nice to Have (Optional)

  • Exposure to version control systems like Git
  • Basic experience with APIs, databases (SQL), or automation tools
  • Internship or academic project experience involving software development
