Sr. Landscape Maintenance Production Manager

Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for managing the jobs and teams in the landscape maintenance division. The PM will create the weekly schedules for their crews, delegate equipment, track weekly hours, order materials, while training and developing their team. The PM will report directly to their assigned Account Manager.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain day-to-day knowledge of what’s going on at each jobsite.
  • Work with their account manager to assist with customer development.
  • Ensure all work is completed in adherence to safety policies and guidelines.
  • Manage labor spend, equipment, and materials to accomplish production schedules within established budgets.
  • Manage truck and trailer cleanliness, and general maintenance on all equipment.
  • Visit job sites on a regular basis, observe the organization of work, identify, and resolve training issues, and take necessary actions to ensure quality.
  • Inspect all work for quality to eliminate the need for return visits and/or re-work due to quality or customer satisfaction issues.
  • Manage snow operations within the branch, operating equipment, and organize snow documentation.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the landscape maintenance industry with experience in leading a team of 20 employees or more.
  • Plant knowledge and identification, and experience in plant care.
  • PA pesticide applicators license.
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
  • Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate all machines and equipment within the mowing division.
  • Ability to identify issues on customer sites and find immediate solutions.
  • Ability to lead tailgate meetings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to write detailed work instructions.
