The Role

As our Sterilization Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient clinical environment. You’ll be responsible for infection control, instrument sterilization, operatory readiness, and supporting the clinical team to maintain seamless patient flow and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain strict infection control standards in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and state regulations.
• Properly clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments and equipment.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
• Monitor and document sterilization cycles, logs, and biological spore testing.
• Prepare and restock operatories before and after patient procedures.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials.
• Maintain organized sterilization and storage areas.
• Support clinical team efficiency by ensuring timely instrument turnaround.
• Assist chairside when needed and within scope of training.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Ideal Candidate

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA and Infection Control training (or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures preferred.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Committed to maintaining compliance and high safety standards.
• Eager to grow professionally and stay current with industry best practices.

Position Details

Full-Time: Mondays to Fridays, 6:30 AM – 3:15 PM
Part-Time: Schedule to be discussed
