Position Summary

The Sales Associate – Key Holder plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to both licensed professionals and everyday consumers. This position is responsible for providing knowledgeable guidance about product features and benefits to help customers make confident, informed purchases that align with their personal or business needs. As a Key Holder, you will also be responsible for store opening and closing duties.

Essential Job Functions

Deliver a high standard of customer service by welcoming guests, answering questions, and providing personalized product recommendations. Use sales techniques such as suggestive selling to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

Open and close the store, following all security and operational procedures. Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system to accurately process sales, returns, and exchanges. Complete daily reporting and cash deposit duties as needed.

Perform merchandising tasks including pricing, stocking shelves, unloading pallets, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our product lines and their proper usage to serve as a subject matter expert for customers. Stay current with beauty industry trends through trade publications, social media, and industry websites.

Attend all scheduled team meetings and training sessions.

Support sales representatives in preparing professional orders and assisting with account needs as requested.

Be open to occasional participation in social media content creation to help promote store offerings and customer engagement.

Knowledge & Skills

High school diploma required; 1–2 years of experience in retail, sales, or network marketing preferred. Industry experience preferred.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.

Proficiency in computer systems with a willingness to learn new technology.

Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and events, based on the needs of the business.

Physical Requirements

Be able to withstand prolonged sitting, standing, bending, and twisting; have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
