Full job description

Activities

  • Help with daily activities like crafts, painting, etc.
  • Assist with learning exercises and instruction
  • Help children work and play with other children
  • Help children develop social and self-help skills

Supervision

  • Supervise and monitor children
  • Escort and assist children as needed
  • Alert the teacher to special needs of individual children

Classroom management

  • Help keep learning areas tidy and safe
  • Provide a welcoming, inclusive learning atmosphere for all students
  • Support children with special or individual needs
  • Maintain records of student progress and needs
  • Cooperate with other staff and classroom groups

Other duties

  • Prepare materials for the classroom
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behavior Plans and Personal Care programs
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • No nights
  • No weekends
