About us
Wish Recovery Luxury Rehab & Detox offers a unique approach to personal recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, behavioural problems, substance misuse and co-occurring/dual diagnosis illnesses.
The Primary Therapist has responsibility for addiction therapy and psychosocial rehabilitation in a luxury treatment center, providing therapy services to clients and working collaboratively with staff involved in the care and treatment of the patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing substance abuse counseling and group therapy.
- Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team as a clinical addiction specialist and work with other professionals in formulating individualized treatment plans, treating patients and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans.
- Develop an initial treatment plan for client and present this treatment plan to an interdisciplinary team composed of other clinicians and the clientDevelop, organize, and implement a wide variety of therapeutic modalities including group work.
- Conduct individual counseling, individual psychotherapy, group counseling, and group psychotherapy using appropriate treatment modalities.
- Observe patient behaviors and report these to other staff members on the interdisciplinary team for use in reviewing and/or modifying treatment and/or follow-up plans for the identified patient.
- Maintain appropriate records, charting data in a way so as to insure ready availability of current information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to summarize pertinent information for patient care plan via written documentation
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Education/ Experience:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling with licensure in California
- Two years experience in a mental health and/or chemical dependency setting preferred
- Experience dealing with clients and documentation in a hospital and/or mental health facility required
