Utility Laborer - Lake City, PA

Pay: Starting at $15+/Hour, D.O.E.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM

POSITION SUMMARY: Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing as part of a team, and perform quality work safely, in a fast-moving and consistent manner. This position is a stepping-stone to a skilled construction trade career.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all manual labor in the area to which assigned—Rough framing and sheeting, hanging PVC electrical switch/outlet boxes and measuring/running insulated electrical wire, very basic plumbing component insulation, drywall.
• Keep area neat and clean
• Read and use a tape measure
• Read blueprints and orders
• Communicate well with coworkers
• Use hand tools, air tools, and electrical tools
• Willingness to help others and learn new skills

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Employee must have own tool belt, hammer, utility knife, tape measure. Work boots required, steel-toe preferred. Speed square not required but preferable.
• Previous experience or training in construction-related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be willing and able to learn and operate overhead crane.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy weight items.
• Must be willing to cross-train and assist in any area of production to drive results.
• Must have reliable transportation
