Utility Superintendent

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced utility superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in overseeing and managing projects related to gravity sewer mains, water main installations, and storm drain systems. As a utility superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects, meeting quality standards, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee construction projects involving gravity sewer mains, water mains, and storm drain systems.
• Coordinate with project manager on daily basis.
• Ability and willingness to operate heavy machinery when necessary.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and supervise a team of skilled workers, including pipefitters, equipment operators, and laborers.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively and safely.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all construction activities adhere to industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues, ensuring the highest quality workmanship.

Safety Compliance:

• Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the construction site.
• Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety among the team.
• Ensure job equipment and tools are maintained in good working order and safe for use.
• Maintain a clean job site ensuring all tools and equipment are picked up and secured daily.

Material Management:

• Coordinate the delivery and storage of construction materials.
• Maintain accurate records of material usage, inventory, and orders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years' experience as a foreman or superintendent in the construction industry, specifically in gravity sewer mains, water main, and storm drain systems.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment related to utility installations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices.
• Competent use of laser and transit with good mathematical skills are required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of [10] years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass drug test.

Pay to be determined based off previous experience and will be discussed during interview process.
