State Hwy 121 on the outskirts of Anna, TX, is a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing the highest quality veterinary care and customer service. Our facility caters to both small companion animals and large animals, including horses and livestock, ensuring compassionate care throughout their lives. TCVS is a family owned private practice right here in your community for 20+ years, offering family friendly hours and no oncall or after hours shifts. Our awesome team is looking to add an additonal Licensed or Experienced Veterinary Technician.

Summary

We are seeking a Licensed or Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team at Tri-County Veterinary Services in Anna, TX. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional veterinary care and support to our patients. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to providing comprehensive medical and surgical services. Large animal experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of animals.
• Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and administering medications.
• Monitor animal health during surgical procedures and recovery.
• Perform dental cleanings.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
• Provide compassionate care and support to pet owners during visits.
• Educate clients on proper pet care and preventive health measures.
• Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations or treatments.

Requirements

• Required - Certification/Licensed degree in veterinary technology from an accredited program or 2+ years as a veterinary technician
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
• Experience in animal handling and critical care preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Large animal experience not required.

Schedule:

Current TCVS Business Hours :

Monday 8:00-5:00pm, Tuesday 8:00-3:00pm, Wednesday 8:00-3:00pm, Thursday 8:00-5:00pm, Friday 8:00-2:00pm. One Saturday 8:00-2:00, per month REQUIRED
