Vinyl Graphics Installer

— Position Summary:

Dynamic Designs is currently seeking to fill a Vinyl Graphics Installer position at our Post Falls, Idaho location. We are looking for a candidate with a strong eye for detail and experience in vinyl installation.

This position involves the production and installation of: commercial fleet graphics, custom/personal vehicle graphics, promotional signage, wall murals, banners, marketing materials, exhibit and trade show graphics, point-of-purchase displays (POP), point of sale (POS), etc.

— Schedule:

Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm
Limited weekends (1 to 3 events/trade shows per year)
Overtime may be required based on workload

— The ideal candidate should:

• Show proficiency in vinyl installation techniques
• Exhibit an excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Be efficient at working with design, production, and sales staff with a team-focused mentality
• Understand the importance to execute and meet deadlines
• Put forth effort to quickly gain knowledge of large format graphic industry processes, material and substrates used, and their application to each market segment
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a clear record
• Tow, maneuver, and back up trailers of all sizes
• Drive a manual transmission vehicle

— Necessary Skills:

• A minimum of 1-3 years hands-on experience in vinyl graphics installation
• Knowledge of major name brand materials such as 3M, Avery, Oracal, and their installation pre and post-application processes
• Experience with vehicle installations, PPF, and signage manufacturing
• High level of initiative and problem-solving skills
• Mechanical aptitude relating to automotive hardware
• Use hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
• Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Proficient use of computers and basic software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

— Duties and Responsibilities:

• Properly clean and prepare surfaces for vinyl installation
• Position vehicles in the shop safely
• Examine work orders and collaborate with the design team to ensure accurate application and alignment of graphics based on design specifications
• Disassemble & assemble parts on vehicles prior to being wrapped (example, removing door handles, tail lights, moldings, etc.)
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installation tasks
• Install vinyl graphics on all types of vehicles, walls, windows and other surfaces
• Perform post-installation quality assurance measures
• Remove graphics from previous installations and properly clean and prep surfaces for new installs
• Safely operate a company vehicle
• Load and transport signage to destination for on-site installations
• Travel may be required up to 25% of the time to perform installations of graphics at customer locations (most travel will be day trips, but overnight stays may be needed)
• Assist with light production tasks such as weeding, laminating, and/or masking of printed pieces
• Assists with packaging finished jobs and preparing them for transport and/or shipping
• Maintain accurate records of time and material allocations per job
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
• Assist in managing all installation inventory such as cleaning materials, towels, knives, etc.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
