Title: Volunteer Coordinator Part-time 20 hours per week
Supervisor: Program Director

Hope Ranch for Women is a non-profit, faith-based provider in south-central Kansas. The mission of the organization is to bring hope through the redeeming power of Christ to women who have been sexually exploited or trafficked. With a multi-disciplinary team, the organization stives to coordinate with other community partners to meet the complex needs of the women. The organization strives for a positive work environment that encourages effective teamwork, trauma-informed practices, and opportunities to utilize leadership skills. Team members will focus on carrying out the Hope Ranch for Women mission, vision, and values!
To be a successful Volunteer Coordinator you must become able to do the following always:
1. Recruit volunteers through churches, businesses, community groups, and social media.
2. Coordinate volunteer orientations and onboarding.
3. Promote volunteer opportunities for events, mentoring, meal teams, transportation,
maintenance, and special projects.
4. Match volunteers with appropriate opportunities based on skills, interests, and ability.
5. Communicate regularly with volunteers regarding needs, updates, and events.
6. Maintain the volunteer calendar.
7. Track volunteer hours and participation.
8. Collaborate with program director to identify volunteer needs across programs.
9. Follow policies and procedures for the organization.
10. With the assistance of the program director, handle volunteer concerns in a timely manner.
How you will spend your time in this job:
65% Working with volunteers that have interest in serving get through the onboarding
process.
5% Meeting with program director identifying needs.
5% Documenting volunteer hours.
20% Recruiting volunteers.
5% Participation in supervision, committees, company-wide and staff meetings.
To qualify for this job, you need to have:
1. Prefer 1 year of experience working with nonprofits, ministry or community outreach.
2. Clear background check.
3. Agreement with and living out our statement of faith.
4. The ability to write, use a computer, and type on a keyboard.
5. Ability to travel, drive a company or personal vehicle, including at night.
6. Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, including upstairs, and stand for extended periods of time. Ability to complete an emergency safety intervention as trained. Ability to be subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally and inside conditions frequently.
