Warehouse Worker - Fairview, PA

Pay: Starting at $16/Hour

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 3:30 PM

Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge: This position requires basic math competency. Good eyesight and color perception. Must have basic English communication and reading skills, in order to understand work instructions and safety issues. Must currently have or be able to successfully obtain forklift certification.

Physical Requirements:

The position could involve sitting, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, walking, and moderate lifting throughout the workday. This position requires long periods of sitting or standing. Occasional side-to-side motion is needed while moving boxes to their next station. No Heavy lifting is required (50+ lbs).

Responsibilities:

Must be able to work as a part of a TEAM.

Load and Unload incoming trucks

• Remove skids from incoming trucks or load finished goods onto outgoing trucks
• Place items in the area designated by the supervisor
• Maintain a warehouse log for inventory
• Wrap boxes on skids to ensure stability during shipping
• Visually inspect labels for the correct shipping information
• Keep shipping docks, and warehouse areas free of all debris and clutter
• Maintain walkways during wintery conditions
• Remove and install new propane tanks on the forklifts as needed

Forklift certification is required for this job

Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors, as deemed appropriate.
