Greenwood is currently hiring a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associate/ Delivery Driver to join our team in Providence, RI. You will be responsible for various tasks related to Warehouse and delivery operations, including Forklift operation, loading and unloading materials, driving construction materials to and from job sites, performing small engine maintenance, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Drive construction materials to and from job sites
• Perform small engine maintenance (i.e., generators, backpack leaf blowers, etc.)
• Operate forklifts and move materials and equipment within the yard and warehouse
• Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Assist in the rigging and securing of loads for transport
• Stage materials for upcoming roofing jobs
• Build and assemble pallets, and other packaging materials as needed
• Maintain inventory control of roofing material
• Perform general maintenance tasks to keep the yard and warehouse clean and organized
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including OSHA regulations
• Assist with shipping and receiving duties as required
• Support off-site maintenance and delivery/pick-up assignments

Requirements:

• Must have Driver’s License and possess or be able to acquire Department of Transportation Medical card which will require physical and drug testing
• Experience with small engine maintenance (i.e., carbonator cleaning, sparkplugs, oil changes)
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
• Ability to work in a warehouse facility; indoors and frequently outside
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
• Ability to safely lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Must be able to work in environmental factors that include noise, dust, hot weather, and cold weather
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and gangways on a frequent basis and be able to work while standing on a continuous basis.
• Ability to safely work aloft (heights over 20’) including ladders, man lifts, harnesses, equipment tops and scaffolding
