Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Wastewater Operator and play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of water treatment processes. In this energetic position, you will operate and monitor wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental standards. Duties

  • Operate and control wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and filtration systems, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor system parameters using distributed control systems (DCS) and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), making adjustments as needed to maintain treatment quality.
  • Conduct routine inspections of mechanical components, plumbing, and heavy equipment to identify wear or malfunctions, performing repairs or coordinating maintenance as necessary.
  • Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, chemical levels, and other critical metrics to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks involving equipment parts or supplies, often requiring physical strength and proper safety procedures.
  • Assist with construction or installation projects related to water treatment infrastructure, supporting upgrades or new system integrations.
  • Maintain detailed records of operations, maintenance activities, and data collection logs for reporting purposes.
  • Operate heavy machinery safely during tasks such as tanker filling or transportation of materials within the facility.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating wastewater treatment systems or water treatment facilities with a strong understanding of wastewater processes.
  • Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing pumps, valves, motors, or other treatment equipment.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used for automation and process control.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for chemical dosing, flow measurements, and data analysis.
  • Strong analysis skills to interpret system data and troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment safely in construction or maintenance environments is preferred.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols related to water treatment operations.
