Weekend Day Porter

Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Weekend Day Porter to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a busy commercial property during weekend daytime hours (Saturday and Sunday). This vital role ensures that the environment remains welcoming, organized, and well-maintained for employees, visitors, and clients alike. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to keep the premises in top condition. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a professional setting while developing valuable custodial and maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, blow and clean outdoor areas (walkways, entrances, parking areas)
• Remove trash and debris, including cigarette butts and general litter
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Clean maintain ash urns
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness around high-traffic areas
• Clean sidewalks, curbs and loading areas
• Report large debris or special cleanup needs to management
• Assist with occasional power washing (as needed/requested)
• Light cleaning of storefront areas
• Assist with monthly or seasonal property cleanups
• Maintain general property appearance standards
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored safely and used responsibly.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices.
• Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues promptly.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting moderate loads, and operating cleaning machinery safely.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently during scheduled hours.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Professional attitude and attention to detail
• Prior porter or maintenance experience in residential or commercial settings is preferred but not required
