Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, ensuring all work meets industry standards and safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) welding techniques to join metals with high precision.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement instruments to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading tools to shape and prepare materials.
- Conduct rigging, assembly, and installation of fabricated parts on construction sites or in manufacturing settings while adhering to safety standards.
- Read schematics and blueprints to determine dimensions, materials needed, and sequence of operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all safety protocols related to welding, fabrication, rigging, and site work.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout every phase of production.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with hands-on fabrication, welding, or fitting roles in industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; experience with MIG welding preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills necessary for precise measurements.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, ductwork installation, machining operations, and plasma cutting techniques.
- Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, forklifts, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely.
- Understanding of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices is a plus.
- Experience working with schematics for assembly or manufacturing projects involving sheet metal or mechanical components is highly desirable. Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
