About Us

National Maintenance and Build Out Company (NMBOC) specializes in commercial remodeling and building maintenance for a number of Fortune 500 clients. We service locations throughout Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. As our client base rapidly grows, we're seeking experienced, motivated professionals to uphold our reputation for excellent and timely work.

Position Overview

We are currently hiring a Working Superintendent to oversee on-site commercial construction activities, primarily in the retail sector. This hands-on leadership role requires experience in framing, sheetrock installation, finishing techniques, and the ability to manage subcontractors and project timelines. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with strong communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and communicate construction blueprints
  • Supervise and coordinate all subcontractor work to ensure schedules are met
  • Ensure compliance with commercial construction standards and client-specific protocols
  • Provide daily job reports to the Project Manager
  • Maintain quality control and safety on job sites
  • Assist with framing, drywall, and finish work as needed
  • Represent NMBOC in a professional and reliable manner on active job sites

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of construction or superintendent experience
  • Ability to lead jobsite crews and subcontractors effectively
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask
  • Willingness to travel during the work week (transportation provided)
  • Familiarity with store fixture assembly and management a plus
