Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Technical Due Diligence Consultant to join our Infrastructure Technical Due Diligence Team in North America. The core responsibilities will largely relate to Investor Consulting, Lenders and Transaction Advisory services across North America, covering sectors including power and utilities, energy and renewables, digital and telecoms, transportation, and industrials and manufacturing. The workload will be varied and include technical advisory with flexibility to accommodate the specific skill sets and aspirations of the applicant.
As a technical advisor to infrastructure investors, you will provide expert guidance and due diligence on potential acquisitions, divestments, lending, and partnerships across infrastructure sectors. You will conduct desktop documentation review and research, site visits, assessing the technical condition and performance of assets, opex and capex review, identify risks and opportunities, and prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for the fund's decision-makers, working closely with and managing teams of technical and environmental subject matter experts. You will also support the fund's portfolio management and asset optimization strategies by monitoring the market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the infrastructure industry. You will leverage your technical knowledge, analytical skills, project management skills, and business acumen to help clients achieve their investment objectives and create value for stakeholders. (This role is Hybrid with a view to having 3 days a week in office in either our NYC or Washington DC offices )
Role accountabilities:
- The position includes a relatively high level of responsibility and accountability with an opportunity to develop managerial as well as technical knowledge and skills, and to progress within a successful and growing specialist team, working closely with experts from across the wider organization including technical and environmental experts.
- Manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions from origination to successful delivery related to Technical Due Diligence (TDD) including transaction and lenders advisory, strategy consulting, feasibility analysis and asset planning.
- Contribute to business development to support accelerating organic revenue growth and the implementation of the business strategy in terms of the TDD offering.
- Project manage advisory projects working closely with both client and team members to ensure all information is available and research done for the successful completion of projects.
- Work with the Team Leader to manage risk in service delivery and ensure efficient financial control resulting in a cost-effective service. Report quantified information on the progress of each contract to the Practice Leader on a regular basis.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor in Engineering, Technology, Science, or in Economics or Finance with technical affinity and relevant experience is required.
- Minimum of five years of multi-discipline experience in Due Diligence (power and utilities, energy and renewables, digital and telecoms, transportation, or industrials and manufacturing), Investment Advisory or related services Strong project management skills and experience in due diligence or similar advisory services

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $92,530 - $152,675. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
