Full job description

Abrasive West LLC is a precision grinding company specializing in surface and creep feed grinding for customers requiring tight tolerances and consistent quality. We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support and maintain our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. ITAR Compliant while working hands-on with manufacturing, customers, and suppliers in a job shop environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & Quality Control

  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections
  • Support PPAP and FMEA activities
  • Apply quality tools including SPC, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Maintain and manage the calibration system for gauges and measurement tools
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards

ISO 9001:2015 Compliance & QMS Maintenance

  • Support internal and external ISO 9001:2015 audits
  • Assist with quality documentation updates and controlled records
  • Participate in management review meetings
  • Track and report key quality metrics
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)

Customer & Supplier Interface

  • Address customer complaints and coordinate Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
  • Work directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues
  • Serve as the primary quality representative during customer and regulatory audits
  • Support customer quality requirements and continuous improvement initiatives

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
