Patient Care Representative

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Representative to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. Your responsibilities will include managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth patient experience within our medical office setting.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance information.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments while managing the calendar efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication regarding patient needs.
• Utilize medical terminology to accurately convey information between patients and staff.
• Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management of office supplies.
• Take vitals.
• Back up to physiotherapy technicians as needed, in-house training provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative support tasks.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in office software applications and electronic health record systems is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy towards patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Medical office: 2 years (Preferred)
• Data entry: 3 years (Preferred)
• Patient care: 1 year (Preferred)
