Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Operation Manager for Pharmacy Services to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support the efficient management of pharmacy operations, ensuring seamless clinical service, compliance with healthcare regulations, and optimal patient care. Duties

  • Assist in overseeing daily pharmacy operations, including medication management and workflow coordination.
  • Support compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality and security of medical records and patient information.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff and pharmacy administrative support personnel, providing guidance on best practices and performance standards.
  • Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, fiscal management, and billing processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective medication management and ensure adherence to clinical protocols.
  • Assist in training staff on medical terminology, Pharmacy EHR systems, and regulatory requirements including JCAHO standards.
  • Support human resources functions related to staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations within the pharmacy team.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives focused on patient safety, utilization management, and compliance with managed care policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in management pharmacy operations within acute care or hospital settings.
  • Supervising experience with a strong understanding of Pharmacy management principles in healthcare environments.
  • Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms; familiarity with Meditech, Cerner is a plus.
  • Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial management, and cost control strategies.
  • Excellent understanding of medical terminology, medical records handling, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations like JCAHO standards.
  • Experience in managing pharmacy or pharmacy staff effectively.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Must have current valid CA pharmacist license
