Overview
Join our vibrant team as a Runner/Buss Boy and be a vital part of delivering exceptional guest experiences! In this energetic role, you will support the restaurant’s service flow by ensuring tables are promptly cleared, dishes are efficiently delivered, and the dining environment remains clean, welcoming, and organized. Duties
- Transport food orders from the kitchen to tables swiftly and accurately, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout service.
- Assist servers by delivering beverages, utensils, or additional items as needed to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food handling and preparation tasks when required, adhering to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and disposing of trash properly.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality by providing friendly, attentive guest service and ensuring a positive dining atmosphere.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations to ensure proper hygiene practices.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently.
- Experience with bussing or serving in banquet settings enhances your ability to adapt quickly in busy environments.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members alike.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks involved in bussing and food delivery.
- A positive attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork; previous hotel or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
