We’re looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team in Lecanto, Florida as Portable Building Consultants. We specialize in sheds, gazebos, dog kennels, and more, with a reputation built on professionalism, transparency, and integrity. What You’ll Do

  • Customer Engagement:
  • Walk customers through inventory on the lot and highlight options.
  • Set appointments from online inquiries and follow up quickly on leads.
  • Host virtual showings for customers shopping completely online.
  • Spend time listening, asking the right questions, and guiding customers toward the best-fit structure.
  • Sales Performance:
  • Build out accurate quotes using our internal systems and 3D design tools.
  • Gather details for online customers and send tailored proposals.
  • Be the expert — answer questions, explain features, and address concerns so customers feel confident in their decision.
  • Lead Generation:
  • Start with company-provided leads from our advertising and marketing.
  • Boost your pipeline by:
  • Posting on social media and responding to inquiries.
  • Working your personal network (sphere of influence).
  • Asking for referrals from current and past customers.
  • Following up with past buyers to keep relationships alive.
  • Future opportunities may include representing us at chamber events and home shows.
  • Lot & Office Management:
  • Keep your sales office and lot professional, clean, and welcoming.
  • Track inventory and submit a monthly report.
  • Request repairs or cleaning for displays when needed.
  • Update signage and materials as provided by the Sales Manager.

Collaboration:

  • Collect and hand off key details to purchasing, permitting, and operations teams — clearly communicating promises and customer preferences.
  • Ensure details like delivery instructions, special schedules, or financing requirements are accurate so the process runs smoothly.

What We Offer

Compensation:

  • $15/hr base pay + overtime (average 44 hrs/week, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays)
  • Flat % commission on profit of every sale (uncapped)
  • Partial prepayment commission payments available during your first 6 months (Partial payment of commission at signing and remainder after delivery and payment from customer)

  • Strong communication and listening skills — you can uncover what people really want
  • Problem-solving mindset — you see obstacles as opportunities to win for the customer
  • Comfortable with technology (Google Workspace, CRM, 3D design tools)
  • Detail-oriented with follow-up and paperwork
  • Resilient and motivated — you don’t fold at the first “no”
  • Sales or construction knowledge is a plus, but not required — we’ll train the right person
