Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Local CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers within local routes to deliver freight efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving with a manual shift 18-wheeler. Flatbed experience is preferred and experience hauling oversized & permitted loads a plus. This position offers an opportunity to work close to home with consistent schedules and a focus on safety and professionalism.

We also, offer several paid holidays, insurance and an opportunity for raises every 6 months.

Duties

Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated local routes
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
Maintain accurate paperwork & delivery signatures.
Follow all traffic laws and company policies during route driving
Assist with securing loads for transport to prevent shifting or damage during transit
Communicate effectively with Logistics Manager regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
Experience in Flatbed truck driving.
Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks
Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment as needed
Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial trucking and freight handling
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills for coordination with dispatch and clients
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policies
