Full job description
We are seeking a results-driven (OSP) Telecom Manager to lead our infrastructure expansion. You will own the project lifecycle—from initial site walk-throughs and utility load studies to final commissioning and integration. You will serve as the primary link between property owners, utility providers, and field crews to ensure the seamless deployment of sustainable transportation solutions.
Responsibilities· Project Kickoff and Planning: Define site requirements and baseline deployment schedules.
· Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project spend and manage purchase orders.
· Risk Management: Identify bottlenecks to mitigate project delays.
· Permit Coordination: Secure electrical permits and local zoning approvals.
· Construction Coordination: Direct electrical contractors during infrastructure builds.
· Quality Assurance and Testing: Validate charger functionality and code compliance.
· Internal Reporting: Update leadership on milestones and procurement status.
· Client and Stakeholder Communication: Manage site host and utility provider expectations.
· Project Review and Improvement: Analyze completed builds to optimize future workflows.
Requirements
· Experience: Several years of experience in telecom/fiber-optic construction project management, particularly in outside plant (OSP) fiber deployments. Contractor Management: Demonstrated ability to manage construction crews and subcontractors, with a track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
· Project Management Skills: Strong skills in project planning, resource allocation, and budget control. Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
· Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of fiber-optic network construction methods and infrastructure (including aerial and underground fiber builds). Blowing Fiber technology preferred.
· Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Able to collaborate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams, and convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
· Safety Focus: Solid understanding of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations; must exemplify a strong commitment to jobsite safety at all times.
Pay: $72,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
