At Eastside Veterinary Associates, we’re looking for compassionate, dependable animal lovers to join our team as a Kennel Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in veterinary medicine, animal care, or working in a fast-paced hospital environment where patient care truly matters.

We are a privately owned, non-corporate small animal practice that has proudly been voted “Best Vet” by 425 Magazine for 14 consecutive years. Our hospitals are clean, modern, team-oriented, and focused on providing exceptional care to both pets and people.

  • Opportunities to learn and grow within the field
  • Making a direct impact on patient comfort and care

We’re searching for someone who is:

  • Compassionate and patient with animals
  • Dependable and hardworking
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and willing to learn
  • A positive team player with a strong work ethic

Previous veterinary or animal care experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has a genuine passion for animal welfare.

Schedule & Location

  • Full-time opportunities available
  • Primary location: Renton/Newcastle area
  • Some flexibility to work at multiple hospital locations may be needed

Responsibilities Include

  • Assisting veterinary assistants, technicians, doctors, and reception staff
  • Safely restraining pets when needed
  • Recognizing and reporting changes in patient condition
  • Maintaining accurate treatment and care records
  • Providing compassionate interactions with clients and patients
  • Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital
