Field Service Technician

Screenmobile of Fort Wayne is expanding and seeking motivated Field Service Technicians to support our customers across Northeast Indiana.

As a Field Service Technician, you will play a key role on our team, installing motorized retractable screens and awnings, constructing screened-in porches and three-season rooms, and building, repairing, and replacing window and door screens for residential and commercial customers on-site.

This position could be right for you if you posses a strong worth ethic, high integrity and have practical hands-on construction experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure, fabricate, repair, and install window and door screens.
• Install motorized retractable screens and awnings.
• Construct and install screened-in porches and three-season rooms.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace motorized systems, awnings, and porch components.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating professionally, resolving issues promptly, and representing Screenmobile with integrity.

Job Requirements:

• Team player who can work independently.
• Experienced with common hand and power tools (drills, saws, etc.).
• Basic math proficiency, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; comfortable with units of measure.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills; practical, common-sense approach.
• Pride in workmanship and attention to detail.
• 1–3+ years of hands-on construction experience, preferably in exterior improvements, remodeling, or new construction.
• Strong work ethic and unquestionable integrity.
• Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and reliable transportation.

Physical Demands:

• Occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders.
• Able to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 pounds, work on ladders/at heights, and perform outdoors in varied weather conditions for extended periods.
• Availability for extended hours during peak season (March–November), including 12–14 hour days, 50–60 hour weeks, and occasional evenings and weekends.
