Inventory Administrator
Lux Bond & Green, 128-year-old family-owned luxury jewelry & watch retailer, is seeking a full-time Inventory Operations Administrator in our corporate office located in West Hartford. We are looking for a jewelry enthusiast to be a true liaison between our stores and the corporate office, responsible for the overall accuracy of receiving, shipping, transfers, ticketing and inventory control.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process and receive products into the correct inventory locations through production orders, transfers, memo requests, and supplier shipments.
- Managing the end-to-end merchandise labeling workflow by processing incoming requests, generating accurate product tags for new arrivals, and maintaining quality control over the inventory management system.
- Accurately transact all inventory movement by picking goods, verifying quantities, posting packing slips and preparing goods and documents for shipment.
- Support the Buyers and Assistant Buyers as needed.
- Be an integral partner assisting with the processing price changes by generating new tickets for merchandise and communicate updates to our stores.
- Drive best practices and focus on general process improvements.
TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE
- Collaborate with the experienced Buyers and Assistant Buyers for continued growth opportunities.
- Actively participate in scheduled Jewelry Buying Office meetings.
INVENTORY & MERCHANDISING
- Conduct periodic inventories ensuring accuracy and pristine condition.
- Assist with inventory management processes including the timely receiving, verification, and organization of materials.
- Handle all inventory with the care necessary to keep it in excellent condition.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Strong team player willing and capable of training and motivating others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, client service, and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Deep understanding of and passion for luxury timepieces is preferred.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.

- Associate degree preferred.
- 2 years of Inventory Management preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role requires regular sitting, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity; frequent standing, walking, and reaching; and occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting to 10 lbs. Standard vision abilities (including color and depth perception) are required, alongside the use of jeweler’s loupe or magnification equipment.
