Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and possess a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of various landscapes, including lawns, trees, gardens, and loading tree debris. The Grounds Worker will operate various equipment, including skid steer and stump grinders, and will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
• Maintain the area while the trees are being removed
• Maintain equipment used in grounds maintenance, ensuring it is clean and operational.
• Assist in planting new trees, shrubs, and flowers to enhance the landscape.
• Assisting in removal of trees and trimming
• Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects effectively.
• Follow safety protocols at all times while working with tools and machinery.
• Maintaining a clean work space including the tools in the truck

Qualifications

• Experience in tree work or landscape maintenance is preferred.
• Able to drive truck and trailer
• Familiarity with tree care practices and equipment operation (skid steer, stump grinder, chainsaw).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods.
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the job location.
