About the Role
As a Retail Sales Associate, you’ll work directly with customers on the sales floor, helping them choose and purchase cellphones and related products. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on customer interaction and wants to build experience in retail sales and wireless products.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)
- Greet customers as they enter the store and assess their needs (new phone, upgrade, accessories, or service plans)
- Demonstrate cellphone features, compare models, and explain pricing, promotions, and data plans in clear terms
- Recommend accessories (cases, screen protectors, chargers) based on the customer’s device and lifestyle
- Process sales transactions accurately
- Follow up with customers when needed to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
- Keep the sales floor organized and visually appealing
- Stay up to date on current products, promotions, and wireless technology through ongoing training
- Work with team members to meet daily and weekly sales goals
Qualifications
- Previous retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- Comfortable learning and explaining technology, especially smartphones and mobile plans
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits
- Weekly pay, hourly ranging between $17–$20/hr + uncapped commissions
