DIRECTOR OF PAID SEARCH – FRANCHISE MARKETING
Franchise Ramp
Remote | Full-Time

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Paid Search is responsible for leading and scaling Franchise Ramp’s Paid Search department across both national franchise brands and high-volume local franchisee marketing programs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys operational complexity, and can balance strategy, leadership, execution, and problem-solving.
While some accounts involve larger brand-level budgets and advanced strategic planning, the majority of this role centers around managing scalable local franchisee marketing programs. This requires exceptional attention to detail, organization, communication, and execution.
You will lead a team of Paid Search Specialists while also remaining hands-on in-platform. You will be involved in client conversations, troubleshooting issues, optimizing systems, and serving as the escalation point both internally and externally.

DEPARTMENT LEADERSHIP
- Lead and manage the Paid Search department
- Directly oversee a team of Paid Search Specialists
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Establish best practices, workflows, and quality control systems
- Create accountability and performance standards across the team
- Support hiring, onboarding, and scaling initiatives
PAID SEARCH STRATEGY & EXECUTION
- Oversee paid search strategy across franchise and multi-location brands
- Manage campaign structure, optimization strategy, and performance standards
- Remain hands-on in-platform across Google Ads, YouTube, Performance Max, Local campaigns, and related platforms
- Develop scalable approaches for high-volume local franchisee campaigns
- Support national brand strategy and budget allocation recommendations
- Drive campaign testing initiatives and optimization roadmaps
FRANCHISEE MARKETING OPERATIONS
- Manage operational complexity across local franchisee marketing programs
- Ensure scalable execution across a large number of franchisee locations
- Improve efficiency, campaign consistency, and execution timelines
- Develop systems and processes to support franchisee marketing at scale
- Work cross-functionally with Franchise Success Managers and Strategists
CLIENT COMMUNICATION & STRATEGIC SUPPORT
- Participate in client strategy calls and executive-level conversations
- Serve as the primary escalation point for Paid Search-related issues
- Clearly communicate performance insights and strategic recommendations
- Support strategic planning for franchise brands and national campaigns
- Collaborate with internal leadership on growth opportunities
PERFORMANCE & QUALITY ASSURANCE
- Ensure campaign accuracy, pacing, optimization, and reporting quality
- Maintain strong QA processes across campaign launches and management
- Monitor KPIs including CPL, CTR, CPC, conversion rates, lead quality, spend pacing, and ROI/ROAS
- Troubleshoot campaign issues proactively
- Maintain high standards of execution across all accounts
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of Paid Search experience in an agency or multi-location environment
- 2+ years of leadership or team management experience preferred
- Advanced experience with:
- Google Ads
- Google Analytics
- YouTube Ads
- Performance Max
- Local campaign strategies
- Experience managing franchise or multi-location campaigns strongly preferred
- Strong operational and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
- Ability to balance strategy, execution, and leadership simultaneously
