Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Technical Assistant to support our Vision Repair team. This role focuses on sourcing replacement parts, supporting repair operations, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from order intake through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source replacement parts for vision equipment and repair needs
  • Assemble materials for service jobs and create accurate bills of materials
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment specifications
  • Assist with equipment testing and quality checks
  • Process customer orders from entry through completion, including:
  • Receiving equipment
  • Coordinating outsourced repairs
  • Tracking repair progress
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors
  • Resolve customer issues, vendor errors, and shipping discrepancies promptly
  • Handle incoming customer calls and inquiries
  • Contribute positively as a collaborative team member
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction (internal and external)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Self-motivated with strong persistence and drive
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assess customer needs and respond effectively with patience and professionalism
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
  • Proficient in English (bilingual is a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required)
  • Experience with Fishbowl and QuickBooks is a plus
  • CAD drawing knowledge is a plus
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively
