Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated production worker to join our dynamic team at our Flower Mound location. If you are a dependable worker with an eye for detail, and a commitment to quality, we have a great opportunity for you here at BoxTech.

As a production worker you will ensure safety and efficiency are a top priority while performing a wide range of tasks that include printing, quality checks, counting, shrinking, bundling, stacking bundled boxes, and organizing corrugated products for shipment to our valued customers.

You will also assist in the proper set up of the printing equipment. This involves a variety of tasks, including machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and cleaning of the equipment and printing plates. You will function as a team member within the department and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Job Specifics

• Working hours: 40h/week from 6 am to 3:30 pm
• Salary: From $16.00 hr. to $18.00 hr.
• Consent to a background check and pre-employment physical / drug screen
• Be able to provide previous employment references upon request
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Job Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators in setting up and running corrugated box production equipment
• Count and verify bundles
• Ensure unit quantities are correct
• Monitor print quality and report issues
• Proper utilization of shrink tunnel machinery
• Stack and restack finished boxes according to specifications
• Ensure proper placement of load tags and cover sheets and correct stacking patterns
• Accurate placement of stretch wrap in accordance with proper setup techniques
• Willingness to cross train on all equipment
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping
• Additional duties may be assigned by management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and push/pull at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel or stoop for extended periods of time
• Requires repetitive lifting and moving of products
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with high noise levels
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must have reliable personal transportation
• Timely and regular attendance is mandatory
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy
• Good oral communication skills
• Must be able to apply basic math and counting skills and successfully configure bundles in predetermined quantities
• Keep daily timecard
• Must have a positive attitude with a willingness to learn new things, receive and follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Flexo-Printing experience a plus
• Sit-down Forklift experience/certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
