Job Overview
CSS Security is looking for reliable and experienced entertainment security or live event security Supervisors. Ideal candidates will have more than 5 years of experience in event security and at least 1+ year in the role of supervisor.
Candidates must have or obtain their valid NYS Security License and valid FDNY (F04) along with a current crowd manager certification. You will oversee the work of up to 10 guards and will be responsible for the operating standards of your assigned post. You will be asked to intercede in and deescalate any patron complaints. You must be able to verbally deescalate and appropriately handle all interactions with staff and patrons.

Compensation for this role will be commensurate with experience and could vary based on worksite. Please send a copy of your resume and pay rate request with your reply.

Hours are mostly evenings and overnights. You must be able to work from 3pm and work up to as late/early as 5am. Weekends are mandatory when there are shows.

Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of a supervisor follow below. These duties reflect only the minimum requirements for this position:

1. Teach and enforce CSS operating standards and policies

2. Assist Event Managers as needed

3. Communicate with and brief event staff on job and venue requirements

4. Serve where needed or as support to other tasked team members at each event including: gate posts, barricades, roaming, directing guests, dressing room supervision, contraband searches, bag checks, issue uniforms

5. Use and teach the proper operation of on-site security equipment (i.e. wands, emergency doors, clickers, etc.)

6. Keep accurate account of employee time sheets and submit completed sheets to the payroll office upon shift completion

7. Protect persons and property as directed/Coordinate with facility staff as appropriate

8. Conduct inspections of various posts to ensure on-duty staff are properly performing their assigned tasks

9. Maintain a log of all activities and incidents that occur during the event on company and venue required incident report forms

10. Monitor and assure that all staff receive required or needed breaks

11. Monitor and assure all staff receive water as needed

12. Familiarization with prevention, identification of, and how to respond to heat illness

13. Respond to conflicts to provide resolution

14. Respond to emergencies, including assistance with evacuations

15. Perform other related duties as assigned

16. Use of golf carts following the rules as referenced above

17. Assure that all staff are wearing appropriate uniforms

18. Walking significant distances necessary to roam throughout the venue

19. Oversee the care of company equipment & responsible for returning all company issued equipment

20. Be able to effectively and professionally interact with CSS event staff, clients/house managers and front of house staff

21. Give feedback to managers regarding employees’ performance

Reliable transportation for getting to the venue of a scheduled event and to the branch office is required.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
