WATER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

S1 RPG, LLC has offices located in Pittsburgh PA, and Denver CO and provides a variety of professional engineering and environmental consulting services primarily for energy and telecom clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Rockies Regions.

Job Description:

Recent growth and increased project workload have created immediate opportunities for a Water Operations Specialist full time positions.

While working under the Operations Manager & Coordinator, this position will provide great experience and exposure to a wide range of project types. This position will be entirely field-based.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Candidates must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and maintain a SAFETY ORIENTED mindset
  • Operating pumps and equipment to perform various water transfer services on permanent pipeline systems
  • Ability to install and remove equipment, make various hose connections and operate valves specific to water transfer operations
  • Manage water transfer storage facilities, to include level monitoring, water testing and pump operations to include but not limited to monitoring pressures, transfer rates and fluid levels
  • Ability to drive a heavy-duty truck with a skid-mounted pump on the truck’s flatbed or operate standard pickup truck
  • Responsible for preparing project-specific electronic reports, DOT logs and various inspection checklists
  • Ability to conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on company vehicles based on DOT requirements
  • Directing transport water trucks into offload and/or loading manifold systems utilizing hand signals and light wands
  • Ensuring transport truck drivers are following proper protocols for loading and unloading procedures
  • Conducting inspections of any operational equipment and containment systems on-site related to trucking operations
  • Documenting trucking manifests related to load/delivery counts
  • Updating client share file link with shift trucking totals
  • Completing and reviewing Job Safety Analysis documents, documenting safety operations
  • Communicating and documenting any environmental, health and safety incidents
  • Five day per week work schedule with flexible hours and potential overtime; Work will take place on a 7-day per week schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to job description, or any relatable work experience including a minimum of 6 months Oil & Gas industry experience
  • Candidate must have a valid driver's license; DOT certification license is a plus (CDL not required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Previous Safeland training is a plus
  • Experience using electronic tablet-based application-based reporting systems
  • Demonstrates a positive, self-motivated attitude

Physical & Other Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to work in extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditions
  • Work hours may vary depending on job requirements and can include night and weekend work
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to walk and stand on unlevel terrain for extend periods of time
