Duties
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and efficient workflows
- Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment focused on teamwork and high performance
- Conduct staff training sessions on food preparation, customer service, POS systems (including Aloha POS and Micros POS), and food safety protocols
- Manage inventory control processes to minimize waste and ensure adequate stock levels for all food and beverage items
- Oversee cash handling procedures, including balancing registers and preparing financial reports at shift end
- Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and cleanliness requirements across all areas of the restaurant
- Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members to build a skilled and motivated workforce
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking processes, and kitchen management practices
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking
- Demonstrated ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage financial records effectively
- Familiarity with inventory control, food handling procedures, and food safety regulations
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and conflict resolution
- Background in hospitality management or culinary experience preferred; previous assistant manager experience is highly valued
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced setting
