Preconstruction Expert

We are a finish trade contractor that is Growing

And are in need of a Commercial Construction Expert!

The ideal candidate is skilled in all facets of commercial construction, quantity take-off, pricing, and project execution. This position is responsible for bidding and administrative management of projects.

Preconstruction:

• Reading Architectural Drawings and specifications
• Understanding and interpreting contractual responsibilities
• Quantity take off for both pricing and ordering purposes
• Building competitive bids that cover the total scope of the job
• Effective follow up on submitted bids
• Contract negotiation to close the sale

Responsibilities after contract award:

• Managing project budget
• Leading your team to ensure timely, and accurate completion of construction projects within the budget
• Utilize construction management software and tools like ProCore and Bluebeam
• Build and review submittal packages
• Lead the team to evaluate, trouble shoot, and develop solutions to project challenges
• Maintain effective and timely communication, with team members and customers to ensure successful project execution
• Provide support to all team members in their job performance
• Evaluating and pricing changes to projects
• Close projects out by acquiring change orders and preparing close out documents

Other Qualifications include:

• Good computer skills especially with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
• Ability to manage conflict and negotiate through project challenges with customers
• Good Time management to insure timely completion of a multitude of tasks
• Ability to manage multiple projects in multiple stages from pre-construction to punchlist, and closeout, at the same time
• Evaluation and understanding of technical documents and procedures

This is an in-office position with occasional customer and project visits.
