Full job description
"You don't just teach a class. You create an experience that people reschedule their day around."
About ARQ Method
We're here to redefine what fitness looks like on campus — creating dynamic, elevated spaces where movement, recovery, and community come together. Our mission goes beyond working out. It's about building a culture of wellness that supports every goal, every body, and every stage of the journey.
From strength training to group classes, from recovery to connection, we provide an environment that motivates you to stay healthy — surrounded by others doing the same. Thoughtfully designed and grounded in calm, our space is built to help every workout feel more focused and intentional.
We are hiring coaches to lead our performance training formats at FSU: HIIT and Strength. These are coached, small-group sessions — not open-floor gym time. Our coaches are present, intentional, and personal. They know every member's name, push the right people at the right moments, and leave every class feeling like the best hour of someone's week.
The Role
– Lead ARQ HIIT and Strength classes for groups of up to 16 members with energy, precision, and warmth
– Deliver structured, coach-led sessions using ARQ's programming framework and coaching standards
– Provide real-time form correction, modifications, and progressions tailored to each member's level
– Arrive early and stay after class to connect with members, answer questions, and build relationships
– Track attendance and member progress; flag concerns or wins to the GM of Programming
– Participate in coach development sessions and ARQ brand training
– Represent ARQ at campus events, ambassador activations, and community outreach
What We're Looking For
– Current personal training or group fitness certification required (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent)
– CPR/AED certification required
– 1+ years of group fitness or personal training experience preferred.
– Strong knowledge of strength training fundamentals, HIIT methodology, and movement mechanics
– High energy, coachable, and genuinely invested in member results
– Availability for early morning, midday, and evening classes across the week
– Comfortable being on a microphone and owning a room
Compensation & Perks
– Per class + tiered compensation based on class performance
– Complimentary ARQ membership — full fitness and recovery access
– Ongoing coach development and continuing education support
– Opportunity to grow into Lead Coach or GM of Programming track as ARQ expands
