OVERVIEW:
Regency Specialties is a two OR facility that specializes in same-day and out patient surgical procedures. Regency provides surgical treatment for multi-specialties with an emphasis on plastic and reconstructive surgery. In addition to advanced surgical treatment for cancers using the Mohs procedure. We are seeking a PreOp/PACU registered nurse that is highly motivated and has a positive attitude that enjoys being part of a team. Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment, have great multi-tasking and organizational skills, friendly, professional.
POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures. Assists the nurses and physicians in delivering the highest standard of patient care available.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Validating appropriate consent and correct surgical sites
- Performs preoperative preparation of patient
- In PACU, use of patient care monitors, assessments and attending to pain management control. Monitoring patient for hemodynamic responses. Protecting the patient from injury until protective reflexes have returned.
- Performs professional nursing care to patient and educates patient and family, and demonstrates compassion in a caring manner to patients, families and coworkers at all times.
- Demonstrates a “can do” attitude and an ability to wear many hats.
- Demonstrates fiscal accountability.
- Possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; and is expected to participate on committees or projects.
- Must have excellent customer skills
REQUIREMENTS:
At the time of hire, the successful candidate will possess current RN licensure from the state of Arizona and Basic Life Support certification. Current ACLS at the time of hire a plus. Candidates with 2 years RN experience in a PACU setting preferred. We are seeking a strong communicator with leadership and critical thinking skills, able to thrive in our team environment. This position requires strong computer skills.
