Doggie Daycare Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs in our daycare facility. Your love for animals and ability to handle various breeds will ensure that each dog receives the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area by regularly cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment. Mopping, sweeping, administering medicine, feeding dogs, playing fetch/tug, keeping the dogs stimulated while supervising their behavior as they play.
• Feed and provide fresh water to dogs as per their individual needs.
• Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns or issues to management.
• Assist with basic grooming tasks such as brushing and bathing as needed.
• Implement basic training commands during playtime to promote good behavior.
• Ensure all dogs are properly checked in and out, maintaining accurate records of their stay.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Pet sitting or pet care services
• Pet grooming or bathing techniques
• Dog training methods and techniques
• Animal handling skills, including restraint techniques for safety
• Previous work in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus
