Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor behavioral changes to ensure optimal care
• Support medication administration following care plans set by healthcare professionals
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning common areas and personal spaces
• Operate equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely to transfer individuals with mobility challenges
• Observe individuals closely for signs of distress or changes in condition, reporting findings to supervisors promptly
• Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, SSAs, guardians, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans
• Support individuals in the community or activities that promote social engagement

Skills

• Strong understanding of policy and procedures to ensure confidentiality
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
• Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring
• Compassionate approach combined with patience and resilience when working with individuals experiencing behavioral issues
• Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to changing needs
• Valid certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or specialized training in behavioral services

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
