Full job description
Robotics Engineer
Company: IntBot Inc. (Humanoid Robotics Startup)
Location: San Jose, CA in the SF Bay Area
Employment Type: Full-time in-person position
Compensation: Competitive salary + equity
About Us
In ten years, millions of robots will coexist with humans. But coexistence requires more than physical capability — it requires social intelligence.
IntBot is building the interaction engine that enables robots to operate autonomously in real human environments. This is the interaction layer that robotics companies will rely on as their robots move from demos to everyday society.
Our humanoid robots are already deployed in hotels like Marriott, at major events like NVIDIA GTC, and most recently at San Jose Airport, where continuous real-world operation drives learning and improvement at scale. These deployments feed directly into our platform, positioning IntBot as the human-robot interaction layer integrated across the broader robotics industry.
Our company is in a hyper-growth stage as we start to scale our deployments and software rollouts.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Robotics Engineer to develop both motion planning and real-time control algorithms for humanoid robots. You will work on kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, and control strategies to enable smooth, human-like movement and interactive behaviors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop path planning and trajectory generation algorithms for humanoid robots.
- Optimize motion adaptation, collision avoidance, and environment-aware planning.
- Integrate AI-based decision-making to improve robot motion intelligence.
- Design and implement real-time control algorithms for smooth and stable motion.
- Develop bipedal locomotion control, dynamic stability, and whole-body coordination.
- Work closely with hardware and embedded teams to ensure robust actuation and feedback.
Qualifications
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and motion planning.
- Experience with ROS2, real-time control systems, and physics simulation.
- Experience with MoveIt, OMPL, trajectory optimization, and reinforcement learning.
- Hands-on experience with actuators, sensors, and embedded controllers.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for control algorithm development.
