Full job description
Busy medical practice is Looking for an experienced Radiologic Technologist. Will routinely perform CT and MRI scans and other duties as assigned by carrying out the following duties.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Regularly communicates with Physicians, Director of Radiology and Director of Operations.
· Explains imaging procedures to patients and gets them prepared for their procedure.
· Interprets Physician’s instructions; selects software options and imaging parameters when adjusting any imaging equipment.
· Performs imaging on appropriate anatomical region as instructed by Physician, in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols.
· Talks to patient over intercom system and observes patient through window of control room to monitor patient safety and comfort.
· Views images to ensure quality and keeps records of the results.
· Provides images to appropriate Providers.
· Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems.
· Ensures quality assurance guidelines are followed and patient confidentiality is maintained.
· Performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Completion of accredited two year or four year program in radiologic technology, accredited by the ARRT. ARRT (R) registry and Texas license required. Experience with both MRI and CT is preferred.
Pay will be commensurate with experience.

- MRI: 1 year (Required)
- CT: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- ARRT Certification (Required)
- Texas medical board license (Preferred)
