Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Advisor to champion safety initiatives across construction sites and operational environments. In this vital role, you will lead efforts to ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a culture of safety awareness, and mitigate risks associated with construction activities. Your expertise will help foster a secure workplace where safety standards are not only met but exceeded, empowering teams to work confidently and efficiently.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards on construction sites and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Implement and oversee occupational health programs that promote worker well-being and prevent work-related injuries.
  • Ensure adherence to MSHA standards, Workers' Compensation policies, and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop, update, and communicate safety policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to construction management projects.
  • Perform regular safety inspections, audits, and site visits to monitor compliance with EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) standards and construction management software protocols.
  • Lead incident investigations, document findings thoroughly, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and workers to foster a culture of safety consciousness across all operations.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles within construction environments.
  • Expertise in occupational health practices and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with NEC standards related to electrical safety in construction projects.
  • Experience managing workers' compensation claims and understanding related legal frameworks.
  • Proficiency in construction management software for tracking safety metrics and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability in construction site experience with a focus on compliance management.
